A
Linksys Wireless router is strongly recommended to upgrade the firmware
to a latest version, which resolves lot of bugs like random dropping of
wireless connections. Learn how to upgrade to the latest firmware on
your Linksys wireless router by reading carefully.
At the back of your wireless router, you’ll see model number and version number of your specific Linksys wireless router.
Go to http://www.technicalsolution.org/supportforlinksysrouter -> Support THAN Enter your wireless router model number (for example, WRT69GS) THAN Click on ‘Get Downloads’. From the web interface, go to Administration -> Firmware Upgrade -> Choose the latest file that you downloaded above -> Click on Upgrade.
When the upgrade starts, do not click on any other link on the web interface. Just wait for the upgrade to get completed.
When it is complete the, verify your new firmware version to make sure the upgrade was successfully finished. In my case, following is the firmware version.
